Polls to three HP Assembly constituencies postponed to June 8
New Delhi, Feb 14: The Election Commission has decided to postpone elections to three assembly constituencies in Himachal Pradesh -- Kinnaur, Bharmour and Lahaul and Spiti -- to June 8 in view of inclement weather conditions in these areas.

A decision to defer elections to these constituencies
has been taken after taking all material circumstances into
account, including the representations received from various
political parties and individuals and also the report of the
chief electoral officer of the state, Election Commission said in a press
release.
According to poll scheduled announced by Election Commission, polls to these constituencies were to be held along with assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh, Meghayala, Nagaland and Tripura on February 26. Bureau Report
