Hamirpur, June 14: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister V B Singh today assured that adequate relief would be provided to drought hit people and shortage of funds would not come in way of relief. Talking to mediapersons at the zonal hospital where he had gone to enquire after the health of injured bus passengers, Singh said state was reeling under a severe drought and the government was making all out efforts to provide drinking water to the people. He said tankers and tractors had been pressed into service to provide water and if needed, water would also be transported by utilising the services of mules and labourers. Singh said this year's drought was unprecedented and urged the people to face it unitedly. The government would try to harness all available sources of water. Hinting at expansion of his ministry in the near future, he said Hamirpur would definitely get representation.
