Mumbai, Oct 21: LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd is targeting a turnover of Rs 400 crore from sale of GSM mobile handsets in 2004 while it will look at an option to establish a phone making unit in India after 2005. "We will initially introduce models in the high-end category and later roll out models in mid and economy segment, helping to achieve sales target of Rs 400 crore next year", LG Electronics head marketing Arun Arora told reporters here today.

The market for cellular handset was growing at 60 per cent and the company expects to sell four lakh handsets during next year, he said. The company aims to sell 20.4 lakh handsets in the country by 2006 and it would be beneficial to source handsets in-house due to tax savings, Arora added.
