Islamabad, Oct 06: Pakistan rested leg spinner Mushtaq Ahmad while bringing in batsman Naved Latif to replace injured skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq for the third one day cricket international against South Africa to be played in Faisalabad tomorrow.
Naved Latif replaces Salman Butt while Danish Kaneria comes in for Mushtaq Ahmad, a press release by Pakistan cricket board said. Naved has been called as a cover-up for skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq who suffered a hamstring injury and is a doubtful starter for Faisalabad match.
Mushtaq Ahmad has been ruled out of the one-day series because of an abdominal muscle strain. He will, however, be available for the Test series that begins in Lahore from October 17, it said.
Pakistan have won the first two one-day internationals to lead the five match series 2-0.
