"Director Madhumita gave us full room to play around the script. From scratch to the final print, the creative space she gave us was boundless," Venkatesh said in a statement.

"I have invested all the experience I have gained from my theatre days into the film. The situational comedy has worked out well and it will give audiences tons of laughter," he added.

Venkatesh, who was last seen in Selvaraghavan's Tamil romantic-drama "Irandam Ulagam", says "Moone Moonu Vaarthai" has "come out really well".

"It would be colourful and different from the one that I have played earlier. The experience of working with director Selvaraghavan sir in 'Irandam Ulagam' helped me a lot in improvising things on the spot for this film," he said.

The film also features veterans S.P. Balasubrahmanyam and Lakshmi in important roles.

Venkatesh said he'll cherish working with these legends.

Arjun Chidambaram, Aditi Chengappa and M.S. Bhaskar will also be seen in important roles.
