Recently, in a conversation with Times Now, co-producer Anurag Kashyap said that it is the time to finally speak up against the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani. He also claimed that the world 'Punjab' can not be out of his flick.

“It is a deliberate attempt to delay the film. Nihalani is behaving like a megalomaniac. Won't let him play god,” he was quoted as saying. He even urged political parties to stay out of his battle.

As per latest reports, the makers of 'Udta Punjab' have been asked by the Censor Board to make changes, altering any reference to Punjab. The Abhishek Chaubey directorial is slated to hit the silver screens on June 17, this year.
