Simpson excited fans last summer when he revealed that he was readying a duets album with Bieber. He, however, said earlier this year that the project was "no longer slated to be released anytime soon" because he was too busy with his own upcoming work, reported Aceshowbiz.

"We wanted to save something like that for a time in the future where it'll be cooler to do it together, when we're both in such different positions that it's like more interesting to come together. It was a mutual decision," Simpson said on the delay.

The 18-year-old singer could not say when the duets album would exactly arrive, but he assured fans that it would definitely come someday.
