Solapur, Sept 20: BJP today said that it would challenge in the high court the Rae Bareli special court order to frame charges against HRD Minister Murli Manohar Joshi and six others in the Babri Masjid demolition case.
"The decision of Rai Bareli special court will be challenged in the high court and we are confident that only truth will win finally,” BJP president Venkaiah Naidu told
reporters here.
The order will not have any impact on the unity or stability of the NDA government in the Centre, said Naidu, who is here to campaign for BJP candidate Pratapsingh Mohite-Patil for the September 26 Lok Sabha bypoll.
"The allegations about dropping the name of Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani are baseless. The fact is that CBI is not working under his home ministry,” he said.
He said that the cases were filed by the then Congress government and were of a "political nature".
The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has already denied permission to attach conspiracy angle to this case and "we will fight the case on a political level", Naidu said.
