One more arrested in Godhra train carnage
Vadodara, Jan 26: One more person wanted in connection with the Godhra train carnage on February 27, 2002, in which 59 kar sewaks were burnt alive was arrested by the special police team probing the carnage, official sources said here today.

Habib alias Badshah bin Yamikn Vaska, who was absconding
after the incident, was arrested late on Friday night when he
came to visit his family members in signal Falia locality of
Godhra.
Initially, Vaska resisted his arrest and made an attempt to flee when the police party raided his house but he was overpowered.
He confessed his presence on the spot on the day of burning of the coach but his involvement in setting the coach on fire was yet to be established, police said adding, they were interrogating Vaska.
Seven other persons, including the dismissed councillor of the then Godhra civic body Farooq Bana and Salim Paanwala, were still absconding, police said.
More than 60 persons have been arrested in connection with the Godhra incident so far, including the prime accused, dismissed president of the Godhra civic body. Bureau Report
