Chamba, May 30: Patrolling has been intensified on the border of Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh and adjoining terrorist infested pockets of Jammu and Kashmir to check infiltration of militants in Bharmaur and Pangi areas where assembly elections are slated for June 8. Security forces have been asked to keep constant vigil on anti-national elements trying to sneak into Himachal Pradesh during the polls and thwart any attempt to create and disturbance.
The Superintendent of Police, Chamba, Ajay Yadav who made an extensive tour of Pangi area, told mediapersons that battalions of Himachal armed police, Indian reserve battalion and Indo-Tibet Border Police had been geared up to check infiltration during the elections.

Yadav said that 11 out of 104 polling stations in Bharmaur tribal assembly constituency have been declared hypersensitive due to their proximity with Jammu and Kashmir while 15 other polling stations have been declared sensitive.
