Indore, Aug 25: Sleuths of Central Customs and Excise Department have unearthed tax evasion to the tune of Rs two crore during raids at a cigarette manufacturing company at Mandideep near here. The raid, which began on Saturday, was completed yesterday, official sources said, adding that during interrogation, company officials owned to have sold those products labelled as export items, in the local market. The irregularity is reported to have caused an evasion of Rs 1.2 crore in export duty and around one crore in custom duties. Bureau Report
