Mumbai, Dec 03: A team of the National Security Guards from New Delhi arrived in the city to examine the nature of explosive used in the bomb blast in a bus at Ghatkopar in north-east Mumbai last evening, which claimed two lives and injured 31 others.

The team, which rushed to Ghatkopar, inspected the blast site to trace the kind of explosive used. The team would later visit Seepz at Andheri, where an explosive was found last night, police sources said here today.
The adjacent buildings at Seepz were evacuated this morning even as the fire brigade personnel threw a cordon around the area.

Meanwhile, security has been stepped up across the state with hundreds of police personnel being posted at sensitive zones in the city.

Sniffer dogs were pressed into service to detect explosives, if any, at police stations and public places, sources said.

At railway stations, announcements with a warning to passengers to take note of unclaimed bags, were being made.
