Jaipur, May 05: About 52 to 55 per cent polling was today recorded in the Lok Sabha polls in 25 seats in Rajasthan even as the election commission ordered repolling in 14 booths where EVMs were damaged in stray incidents of violence. State election office said 52 to 55 per cent of the 3.47 electorate in the state cast their votes. The polling went off by and large peacefully barring a few incidents of clashes between supporters of BJP and Congress in Dholpur's Deeg area, Jodhpur's Luni, Sikar, Jhalawar's Eklera village and at a village in Pali, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) S N Jairath told. Meanwhile, an official release said that repolling was ordered in 14 booths in the state following reports of EVMs being damaged in stray violence. The repolling would be held between 7 AM and 5 PM on May 7 in 14 booths in Bharatpur, Pali, Udaipur and Jhalawar Lok Sabha constituencies, it said.
