New Delhi, Jan 16: Ruling out any tie-up with BJP, BSP president Mayawati today kept the congress guessing on the issue of backing a secular alliance declaring that she would take a decision before the announcement of Lok Sabha polls. "There is no question of going with BJP," Mayawati, who was authorised by her party's national executive to take a decision on the alliance issue, told reporters.

The BSP leader said that she would not take any step in "haste" and would arrive at a decision after weighing pros and cons, especially how much benefit BSP would derive from extending support to any other party.
Mayawati, who made a scathing attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav, denied a suggestion that she had put forth a condition that Congress should first withdraw to support the UP ministry if it wanted her party's support in the polls.

The BSP leader ruled out plans to meet congress chief Sonia Gandhi before any decision on BSP's alliance was firmed up.

About the presence of Sonia at her birthday bash yesterday, Mayawati said that politics should not be attached to birthday celebrations.
"There is no indication from BJP about seeking our support. But it is being heard that they are also craving for it," she said adding that no politics should be read into BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi's presence at her birthday party.
