New Delhi, Sept 05: Software company Microsoft Corporation India today flagged off the second series of workshops on software asset management, in conjunction with Confederation of Indian Industry. The one-day workshops would be conducted in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune in the next couple of weeks, a company release said here.
Speaking on the occasion, Punit Vanvaria, manager, business development of Microsoft Corporation India, said efficient software asset management practices had become critical for ensuring that an organisation gained greater control over the software it deployed and built competitive advantage. "The eight-city workshops that we announced today in conjunction with CII are especially geared towards creating awareness on the issue of software asset management and equipping organisations with the necessary guidelines for adopting it as an essential management practice," Vanvaria said.
