Bangalore, Jan 05: Accepting the resignation of small
scale industries minister Roshan Baig, who quit over his
alleged links with the Telgi scam, Karnataka Chief Minister S
M Krishna today said he would be drafted for party work and
indicated his exit was "partly" the beginning of the ministry
restructuring process.
Confirming to reporters that he had accepted Baig's resignation and forwarded it to Governor T N Chaturvedi, Krishna dismissed suggestions that he was playing "backfoot" on the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam. "We are playing like Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble", he said, in an obvious reference to the splendid performance of the two players in India's ongoing test match against Australia. On BJP's allegation about involvement of some more ministers in the scandal and if there would be any more resignations, he shot back, "ask them to speculate on that".

"It is a letter of resignation. I have forwarded it to
the governor. Notification will be issued", he said, when
asked about the reason for the resignation of Baig yesterday.
To a question, he said Baig would be drafted for party
work.
Asked if Baig's resignation was an indication of the
restructuring of the ministry, he said, "you could say it is
partly beginning of that process".
