Sanasar to be developed as tourist resort
Jammu, Oct 05: To boost tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, the coalition government led by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was giving thrust to promote Sanasar as a tourist resort, state Tourism Minister Ghulam Ahmed Mir said today.

"Despite having enough infrastructure and other facilities, tourists resorts across the state has not been given due attention and has remained neglected over the years," Mir said.
The minister said that Sanasar comes under Patnitop Development Authority which has been constituted with an aim to give fillip to tourism and develop the neglected resorts there. Sanasar lake was the main attraction of this tourist resort and measures would be initiated shortly to maintain it, he said adding maintenance of roads leading to Sanasar would be accorded priority.
Referring to upgrading and improving the existing infrastructure at Sanasar, the minister said huts, dak bungalows would be maintained and provided with all basic amenities. All tourist destinations in Jammu, including the entire Patnitop sector which extends to Sudh Mahadev and Mantalia, are being given priority to attract the visitors.
