Mumbai, Feb 02: Gail the country’s largest state-run gas transmission firm, hopes net profit growth of 15 per cent a year can be maintained for the next five years, the firm's chairman, Proshanto Banerjee, said on Monday. "So far we've had a compounded annual growth rate of 15 per cent in our net profit. I hope to maintain that," Banerjee said in an interview on the sidelines of a gas seminar.
The government, which owns 67.35 per cent in the company, plans to sell up to 10 per cent of Gail's equity to the public in the next two months.
