Bangalore, June 15: Software major Infosys on Saturday said its clients had resumed their visits, which were cancelled after the SARS outbreak, but cautioned that the fallout of SARS and Iraq war could affect its business during the current fiscal. "Client visits and project visits have started," Infosys chief operating officer and deputy managing director S Gopalakrishnan told shareholders at the company`s 22nd annual general meeting.

He said the travel plans to India by clients and project visits by employees, which were cancelled during the SARS outbreak had resumed.
Infosys Chairman N R Narayana Murthy said the twin spectres of the Iraq war and the SARS epidemic affected travel to India in the end of last fiscal. "We believe this can have an impact on our business in fiscal 2004," he said. Murthy said that a stagnant IT has led to increasing competitive pressures in the market.
Gopalakrishnan said that pricing pressures had increased as global companies, faced with stagnant IT spend, were asking vendors like Infosys to cut costs. Bureau Report
