Two heavy explosions heard in Afghan capital
Kabul, Dec 22: Two heavy explosions were heard in downtown Kabul today. It was not immediately clear what caused the blasts or if anyone was injured.

downtown Kabul today. It was not immediately clear what caused
the blasts or if anyone was injured.
The blasts were heard at about 1:40 pm (1440 IST) separately, four rockets exploded in the north of the capital overnight. One hit a house in a residential area, blowing a hole in the roof and shattering windows, but not
hurting anyone.
Kabul is currently on a high security footing as it hosts a constitutional council, amid concerns that Taliban insurgents may try and target the meeting.
The Council, or Loya Jirga, is being held in a huge tent on a city college campus several kilometres west of the where the four rockets landed. Bureau Report
