Srinagar, Nov 12: A day after he was released from prison by the Mufti Mohammed Sayeed government in Jammu and Kashmir, senior separatist leader Mohammad Yaseen Malik today attacked the chief minister saying he does not represent the aspirations of Kashmiri people. Addressing a press conference here, Malik challenged Sayeed to an electoral contest from any constituency in the Kashmir Valley and said "let us see who represents the aspirations of Kashmiri people."
"With four or five per cent votes the PDP got in recent assembly polls, Sayeed should not boast to be representative of Kashmiri people when 80 per cent people have supported us," said Malik, chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front and Hurriyat Conference leader.
Asked why he had restricted Sayeed's choice to the Valley, Malik said "I will talk of the constituency where I am strong. Do not talk in air ... Though other parts of the state are also my constituencies."

Malik said his challenge to Sayeed in no way amounted to accepting the country's constitution.
Malik, who was freed on a month's parole after eight months in jail, said he was framed up in the case relating to alleged funding of terrorism because assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir were then round the corner.
He said the state government took this step after the prosecution failed to prove any charges against him. Bureau Report
