Juventus warns against underestimating will to win
Dortmund, Dec 02: Juventus has warned Galatasaray not to underestimate their will to win their Champions League match in Dortmund.
Dortmund, Dec 02: Juventus has warned Galatasaray not to underestimate their will to win their Champions League match in Dortmund.
"Although we have already qualified no one should think we are taking this match lightly tomorrow", Juventus coach Marcello Lippi told reporters in Dortmund on Monday (December 1). "It is our goal to be first in the group. In order to achieve this goal we need points. At the moment we have qualified but we are not first yet".
Midfielder Antonio Conte made clear why he was in Dortmund. "We are here to win", Conte said. He was speaking before a training at the Westfalen stadium, venue of Tuesday's game. Later on Monday, Galatasaray had their training at the same stadium as it remained unclear whether national hero Hakan Sukur, currently suffering from an injury, would be able to play.
For "security reasons", UEFA ordered the match to be held at the neutral venue of Dortmund following the latest bomb attacks in Istanbul on November 20 which killed at least 30 people and injured more than 400.
