Kochi, Jan 20: Coffee Day Take Away, a division of India's largest coffee conglomerate, Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Ltd (ABCTCL), proposes to open 50 outlets abroad by June this year. The outlets would be opened in the middle east and south east Asian countries, A G Putturaj, general manager, marketing, told reporters here today. The company, which is a leading chain of convenience filter-coffee-on demand vending machines, today announced its expansion plans in Kerala.
Senior general manager D Sankaranarayanan said by March end this year the company expects to have a network of over 600 machines installed in Kerala with an overall total of 10,000 in the southern states and Mumbai from the present 6500 installations.
To further expand its growth, it proposes to introduce various consumer/retailer initiatives also to enter into strategic tie-ups with other companies to dispense a variety of co-branded beverages, he said. The vibrant atmosphere in Kerala and the tourist inflow into the state had made the company foray into the southern most state.
On their turnover, he said Coffee Day Take Away proposes to touch a turnover of Rs 350 crore this fiscal from the present Rs 250 crore. The ISO 9002 certified company has over 5000 acres of coffee estates producing quality coffee beans for both the domestic and export markets.
