Colombo, May 13: Suspected Tamil Tiger rebels today lobbed a grenade at the office of People's Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE) in the eastern town of Batticaloa, injuring five people, officials aid.
The attack took place while the victims were playing volleyball outside their office.
No arrests have been made but police suspect it could be the work of the rebels who have been accused of targeting rival political groups since entering into a bilateral truce with the government on February 23 last year.
There was no immediate reaction from the Tamil Tigers to the latest attack.
