Delhi Police solves seven murder, robbery cases

New Delhi, Jun 02: With the arrest of four youngsters in south Delhi, police today claimed to have solved seven cases, including murder and robbery.
The accused - Amrish Rana alias Gullu (28), Rajesh alias Guddu (30), Prem Singh alias Babloo (23) and Nazim (21) - were nabbed last evening and a revolver, a country-made fire-arm, two knives alongwith seven bullets were recovered from them, police said.
The quartet have been involved in four murders, jail break, looting of truck loaded with mustard, robbing of a car and a recent robbery of more than Rs six lakh in the Janakpuri area, police added.
On a tip off that some criminals have assembled in the forest area behind the liquor vend of Aurobindo Marg to commit crime, a police raiding team laid a trap and apprehended the accused, they said. An accomplice, however, managed to flee, they added.
While Rajesh and Prem Singh are residents of Haryana, Amrish belonged to Punjab and Nazim is from Uttam Nagar area of the national capital, they said.
