Journalists of news agencies, national and local newspapers, besides television news channels on Monday staged a demonstration to protest against the breakdown of telecom services in the state due to the ongoing countrywide telecom employees strike.
The journalists, under the banner of the Guwahati Press

been hampered by the ongoing strike and lack of telecom
services has resulted breakdown in smooth dissemination of
information. They also said that the public was being deprived
of their right to information.
