The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)is said to be ready with its report on the probe conducted by the agency into the match-fixing scandal that shook the world early this year. The report, vetted by legal experts, is learnt to have indicated at least three players for their alleged involvement in the match fixing scandal. But sources have pointed out that the CBI report is believed to be critical of the role of the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI)and has suggested further tightening of the BCCI. The CBI will submit the report to the Union Sports Minister, Mr. S.S Dhindsa within a week, sources indicated. The Sports Ministry will examine the report and take a view if it could form a basis for pressing cahrges against any players or others.
