Rusian President Vladimir Putin will not visit Pakistan as the trip was never planned, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has said. Mr Ivanov categorically stated that the president will not visit Pakistan. “And I also have no intention to undertake any such visit,” he said before leaving for New Delhi on Tuesday. The foreign minister is accompanying President Putin on a four-day visit to India. Reports about Mr Putin's visit to Pakistan first appeared when a Russian official Sergei Yasdrazsembsky went to Islamabad to express Russia's concerns over the Taliban's activities. He had gone to request the military rulers in Pakistan to prevent the Taliban from perpetuating international terrorism.
