Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee and Minister of State for External Affairs Ajit Kumar Panja resigned on Saturday protesting against the BJP government`s unilateral decision to hike the prices of petroleum products. ``Despite being a partner of the NDA government we have not been consulted regarding the price hike. This is not the first time. Such things had happened before,`` Ms Banerjee told a crowded press conference in Calcutta. However, the TMC will continue to extend its support to the NDA from outside.
