There are a number of effective ways and natural remedies to treat malaria fever.
New Delhi: Malaria is a life-threatening mosquito-borne disease that is transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes.
Despite huge progress, malaria claims 429,000 lives each year, with most of them children, and causes 212 million new cases globally. Thus, malaria remains one of the world's most stubborn health challenges.
Although malaria is deadly, it is preventable and curable. Vector control is the main way to prevent and reduce malaria transmission. Two forms of vector control: insecticide-treated mosquito nets and indoor residual spraying are effective in a wide range of circumstances.

Citrus fruits
Citrus fruits such as limes and lemons are recommended for treating malaria. The antioxidant compounds, vitamins and minerals in citrus fruits can help eliminate fever, prevent the rise of temperature and infection as well as speed up the healing process.
Grapefruit
Grapefruit is a great herbal remedy for malaria due to the presence of a natural quinine-like substance that has been directly linked to neutralising those malaria-inducing parasites. Other fruits like oranges and apples are also helpful in treating malaria patients.
Holy Basil
The active ingredient called eugenol found in holy basil is largely responsible for its therapeutic properties that can help eliminate bacterial infections. For many years, holy basil leaves are regarded as a great herbal remedy for various diseases, and malaria is one of them.
Ginger
