Two operations were carried out for it.

Pediatrician Dr Nirav Benani and Pediatric dentist Dr Mit Ramatri in Ahmedabad were consulted by the parents of the baby on advice of their friends and relatives when the teeth started shaking and breastfeeding also became a problem.

The Times of India, quoted Dr Ramatri as telling IamGujarat.com, "It was a complex case. I have never seen a new born baby with seven teeth. The baby was too young, it was impossible to give him a regular anesthesia, so we gave him local anesthesia as guided by Dr Benani."

He added that there was also the risk of baby swallowing the teeth as they were shaking and the baby's mouth was small.

Ramatri further said that the natal teeth could have been trapped in baby's windpipe or food pipe if there had been a delay in surgery.
