New Delhi: The Haryana government on Sunday (July 18) announced the extension of lockdown for another week till July 26. Further relaxations have also been allowed amid drop in COVID-19 cases.

The night curfew timings will be imposed from 11 pm till 5 am on all days of the week. Haryana extended the “Mahamari Alert - Surakshit Haryana” lockdown till 5 am on July 26. 


The decision to extend curbs came despite a decline in the COVID-19 positivity rate and the number of new cases, the government said in a statement.


The new relaxations announced by the state include:


1. Restaurants and bars will be allowed to open from 10 am to 11 pm with 50% capacity. Home delivery from hotels, restaurants and fast food joints will be permitted till 11 pm. 


2. Gyms can open from 6 am till  9 pm with 50% capacity. 


3. Club houses/restaurants/bars of the Golf courses can operate with a cap of 50% from 10 am till 11 pm. 


On July 11, the state government had extended the lockdown till July 19 5 am. Announcing certain ease in curbs, the government had allowed a maximum of 100 people will now be allowed in gatherings for weddings and funerals. In open spaces, a maximum of 200 people were allowed.


Spas were allowed to operate from 6 am to 8 pm with 50 per cent capacity. Most of the existing guidelines related to shops, offices and other activities also remained unchanged. 


Religious places were allowed to reopen with 50 persons at one time. Corporate Offices have been permitted to open with full attendance subject to strict observance of social distancing.


On Saturday, 41 new cases pushed the infection count to 7,69,504. With seven more COVID-19-related fatalities, the death toll mounted to 9,593 in the state. The total active cases in the state currently stands at 823, PTI cited health department's daily bulletin as saying.
