New Delhi: The Indian government on Monday issued an advisory for its citizens travelling to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as a matter of precaution in view of the law and order situation, according to an ANI source.

"Indian citizens visiting Rio de Janeiro are requested to monitor local media and follow the guidance of local authorities," the advisory issued here said today.


The government also advised the citizens to get in touch with the Indian Embassy in Brasilial at +55-61-32484006, in case they need consular assistance.
