India`s tally of COVID-19 cases rise to 37,336 cases which includes 26,167 active cases, 9,950 cured and 1,218 deaths, as per the Union Health Ministry data on Saturday morning.

Delhi: 384 new positive cases and 3 deaths have been reported in the national capital today. Total positive cases now stand at 4,122. Total active cases stand at 2802 now. 64 deaths have been reported in the national capital to date:
Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi, Judicial Member of the Lokpal had tested positive for coronavirus and lost his battle today, he was admitted at Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre.
West Bengal: 70 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 today and 7 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in West Bengal. 45 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours.
Rajasthan: 106 persons have tested positive today in the state taking the total number of positive cases to 2,772. 6 deaths have been reported today, death toll rises to 68.
Telangana: 17 positive cases reported today, taking the total number of active cases to 533 in the state. The death toll stands at 29.
Gujarat: The total number of cases increased by 333 to 5,504. Active cases - 3,896. Death count jumped to 262 after 26 new deaths in the last 24 hours. Recovered - 896. Ahmedabad registered the most number of cases today - 250.
Maharashtra: COVID-19 positive cases jumped to 12,296. Today 790 new positive cases. Today total 36 death in the state. Total of 521 deaths.

In the Orange Zones, in addition to the activities prohibited throughout the country, inter-district and intra-district plying of buses remain prohibited.
Two other activities have been allowed with restrictions:
1) Taxis and cab aggregators are permitted, with one driver and two passengers only.
2) Inter-district movement of individuals and vehicles is allowed, only for permitted activities, with a maximum of two passengers, besides the driver, in four-wheeler vehicles.All other activities are allowed in the Orange Zones, without any restrictions.

With the Centre allowing movement of migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists and students stranded due to the lockdown, the Odisha government has issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) for sending 60,000 "guest workers" who have been stuck in the state to their home states by road or rail. In a letter to all district collectors and municipal commissioners, Additional chief secretary-cum special relief commissioner (SRC) P K Jena forwarded the SOP to ensure the smooth return of the migrants. Gilead Science Inc`s antiviral drug remdesivir was granted emergency use authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for COVID-19 on Friday, clearing the way for broader use of the drug in more hospitals around the United States. During a meeting in the Oval Office of the White House with President Donald Trump, Gilead Chief Executive Daniel O`Day called the move an important first step and said the company was donating 1.5 million vials of the drug to help patients, as per a report by Reuters.

While, the Centre on Friday decided to extend the lockdown for 14 more days till May 17. The lockdown imposed to stop the spread of COVID-19 was first announced for 21 days, then extended for 19 days, and now will continue for 14 more days after May 3.
Some concessions have been announced for Red, Orange, and Green Zones during this extended lockdown period.
Meanwhile, more than 33 lakh cases of coronavirus infections have been reported worldwide and over 2.3 people have died due to COVID-19.
