Rajasthan`s COVID-19 total increases by 1,466 to 81,693; death toll at 1,056

Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Sunday (August 30) that Air India has been an asset but added that it is not government`s responsibility to run airports and airlines. Puri expressed hope that the privatization process of Air India would get complete within 2020.

  • Rajasthan: 1,466 new infections along with 13 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 81,693, of which, 13,825 are active cases and 1,056 deaths.

In other news, the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday (August 31) announced the quantum of sentence to lawyer Prashant Bhushan, who has been convicted by the SC for contempt of court for posting two tweets against the top court. The verdict was pronounced by an SC bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra.
