Kerala reports 7,006 new COVID-19 cases, 21 deaths in 24 hrs; active cases jumps to 52,678

Tamil Nadu: 5,647 new COVID-19 cases and 85 deaths were reported in the state in the last 24 hours. Total cases increases to 5,75,017 including 5,19,448 discharges and 9,233 COVID-19 related fatalities.
Andhra Pradesh: State reports 7,293 new COVID-19 cases and 57 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases rises to 6,68,751, of which, 5,97,294 are recoveries, 65,794 are active cases and 5,663 are casualties.

Meanwhile, India on Friday promptly responded to Pakistan PM Imran Khan`s comments and requested the United Nations for the floor to exercise Right to Reply in response to Pakistan`s statements.
In other news, Indian and Japanese navies will begin their three-day-long maritime military exercise beginning from Saturday (September 26). The naval exercise will take place in the North Arabian Sea. This is the fourth edition of the Japan Maritime bilateral exercise (JIMEX).
