UP Election Results 2017: Bharatiya Janata Party candidates led in 18 of the 32 seats where counting trends were available till now, followed in 10 seats by the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance. The Bahujan Samaj Party is leading in four constituencies.

Counting of votes for 60 seats in the Manipur Assembly is on at 11 venues spread across the state. The entire state has been put under tight security blanket and prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC have been imposed near all counting halls.
The counting of votes has begun for 403 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh amid tight security. A total of 4,853 candidates contested the staggered election. The counting of votes for all 40 constituencies of the Goa Assembly begins at two centres in Panaji and Margao. In Goa, the focus is on whether the BJP will be able to retain power. This is also to be seen whether the fresh mandate of the BJP will see the return of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar to his home state as chief minister. The fate of Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, whose Mandrem constituency will be taken up for counting during the first round, will be decided within the first hour of the counting.
Counting of votes for 117 Assembly seats and the by-election to the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat begins across Punjab amid tight security. The counting is taking place at 54 centres in 27 locations. Early trends are likely to emerge within the first couple of hours. The main contenders for powers are the Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP combine, the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). A party needs 59 seats to gain a simple majority in the Assembly.

The repoll in 34 polling stations in three districts in Manipur, where election was held in the first phase on March 4, on Thursday recorded an 89 percent voting.
