Delhi: Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan says that the relevance of Yoga has increased during COVID-19.
"Yoga has helped us to maintain our physical and mental health. We should make Yoga or other physical activities a part of our daily lives. These will help us to increase our immunity against coronavirus," he said.

History of International Yoga Day: The International Yoga Day has been celebrated annually on June 21 since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. It was proposed by PM Narendra Modi in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September 27 2014.

In other news, the Supreme Court will be taking a final call on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 evaluation criteria today, which was released a week ago. The CBSE had submitted the much-sought Class 12 evaluation criteria to the apex court on June 17.
Meanwhile, India saw its lowest one-day rise in the COVID-19 cases in 88 days with 53,256 new infections.
