Sheikhpura (Bihar): A district court granted bail to Bihar Congress President Ashok Choudhary on Wednesday in a case of alleged violation of model code of conduct in the 2010 assembly elections.

Judicial Magistrate Deshmukh granted bail to Choudhary on furnishing two sureties of Rs 10,000 each.


Choudhary was made an accused for pasting his posters on the walls of a house at Aundhe village without seeking the owner's permission.


The Congress chief had lost the election to JD(U)'s Gajanand Shahi then.


Choudhary was present in the court today during the hearing.
