According to a statement issued by the Telangana CM's office, Rao hoped that his Bihar counterpart would live up to the expectations of the people by offering good governance.

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir welcomed the outcome of Bihar elections and described it as a victory of "secularism" in the country.

Shabbir Ali also sought to know whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi would still extend the Rs 1.25 lakh crore package announced earlier by the NDA Government for Bihar.

The JDU-RJD-Congress alliance is set for a massive victory in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly polls, trouncing the BJP-led grouping.
