New Delhi: Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit on Monday dubbed former Bihar urban development and housing minister Awadhesh Kushwaha's sting operation hours before the polls as politically motivated and said it reveals the frustration and fear in BJP's mind.

"Very clearly, coming just 24 hours before polling, it is politically motivated. A sting operation like this would have taken place much before, it clearly shows frustration and fear in the BJPs mind, which is why they have got it done 12 or 18 hours before," Dikshit told ANI.


"It is only parties that want to change the mood of the public who try and do such things 12-18 hours before," he added.


Kushwaha was caught on video in a sting operation while taking money from a businessman and promising to help him after returning to power.

The Election Commission has ordered the District Magistrate to probe the alleged sting tape.
