New Delhi: Asim Ahmed Khan, who was sacked from Delhi Cabinet over graft allegations, on Wednesday claimed that his family was being targeted by AAP, days after he alleged that he was receiving "death threats" from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and some of his party men.

The Aam Aadmi Party, however, rejected the allegations, saying Khan had teamed up with BJP to attack it.

Khan claimed that on August 1, he had received a tip-off from a "well-wisher from the AAP" that his father will be targeted by the party and a false complaint of molestation would be filed against him. The lawmaker claimed that AAP was unhappy as he was raising "uncomfortable issues" in the party.

"On the same day, I brought this to the notice of the Jama Masjid Police Station."

"Yesterday, three women entered our shop and started misbehaving with my father. They wanted to register a false case against my father, but we called the police following which they left," the Matia Mahal MLA claimed.

He also demanded scanning of phone records of the three women, who he claimed had a criminal record.

The former Delhi food and civil supplies and environment minister was sacked by Kejriwal last October for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs six lakh for allowing construction of a building in his constituency.

Khan said he will soon "spill the beans" about AAP.

He also claimed that two days back some miscreants tried to snatch his guard's gun outside his residence at 3.40 am.

"Two such incidents after I said there is a threat to my family's life say a lot," he added.

Khan said he has been facing threats after he raised the issue of sacrilege of Koran in Malerkotla in Punjab. The Punjab Police had on July 24 arrested AAP's Mehrauli MLA Naresh Yadav in connection with this case.

"This issue is very sensitive to us. We are demanding a probe into the matter by the party. What action is the party taking against its MLAs? At least probe the charges. Instead, I and my family are facing threats," Khan said.

"What I have been indicated is that the top AAP leadership, including Kejriwal ji, is behind the conspiracy to slap a false case against my father," he alleged, adding, "Target me. Why are you targeting my father? Your fight is with me."

AAP spokesperson Deepak Bajpai said Khan is left with no other work but to attack the Aam Aadmi Party.

"He was sacked by the Delhi government for corruption. The only job he has left is to team up with the corrupt BJP and attack the AAP," Bajpai said, rejecting the MLA's allegations.
