Auto, taxi drivers to march against Uber, Ola in Delhi today
The auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers will hold a march in the capital today to protest against the government policy to allow such app-based services.
New Delhi: Amid the growing business and reach of mobile app-based auto and taxi services like Uber and Ola, traditional auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers will be protesting against them in the national capital on Monday.
The auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers will hold a march in the capital today to protest against the government policy to allow such app-based services.
The march will be held from the Samata Sthal near Rajghat to the Delhi Secretariat.
The drivers have criticised the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, saying it is meting out step-motherly treatment to them.
The drivers are expected to meet government representatives today and if the talks fail, unions of auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers are likely to intensify their protests.
As per a report, some 81,000 auto-rickshaws and 15,000 yellow-black taxis may stay off the roads tomorrow and day after if today's talks yield no results.
