New Delhi: Do you know that the plastic six-packs rings of beer cans can pose a threat to marine life? Well, many might not be aware of it, but this plastic sheet can be dangerous to sea creatures.
Most of the plastic six-pack rings used end up in the ocean causing harm to the marine life. Recently, a study shows that Americans drank 6.3 billion gallons of beer last year and 50% of that was from cans.
To protect the life of marine animals and sea creatures, a brewery company in US has developed six-pack rings that are totally biodegradable and edible too.
The beer company from Delray Beach, Florida have re-invented the loop, making their six-pack rings not only safe for wildlife but tasty as well. They are made from beer by-products like barley and wheat.
Besides marine life, even humans can snack on these edible six packs rings.
