New Delhi: While preparations have begun in the BJP for Narendra Modi`s elevation as the next Prime Minister, especially after the exit polls indicated a comfortable victory for the party in the Lok Sabha polls, Congress on Wednesday took a dig at its rival by saying it will be seen how good days come in the NDA regime.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh today said, “We will see how good days will come (We`ll see kaise achhe din aane wale hain)”. The outspoken Congress leader further said, “Nirmala Baba keeps saying on TV that good days are coming, and Modi also says good days are ahead (Nirmal Baba bhi TV mei kehte hai ke tumhare acche din ayenge aur Modiji bhi kehte hai acche din aane waale hain).”
Interestingly, the main opposition party has used the slogan “Good Days Are Ahead” as part of its campaign for 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP has successfully used the slogan for exuding confidence among the voters throughout the country that Narendra Modi will provide a stable government, which will work tirelessly to curb spiralling inflation and rampant corruption. While the BJP has been anticipating a landslide win in the backdrop of very encouraging exit poll results, the Congress is apparently disappointed and has decided to wait till the actual counting of votes on May 16.
