Gurgaon: Human life seems to have become so cheap that it can be taken away over any trivial issue. In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old BBA student was beaten to death for making a request to play a song on dance floor.

According to a Hindustan Times report, Rohit, who is a second-year BBA student of JIMS Institute in Rohini, Delhi, left his home in Gurgaon at 8.30 pm to attend a friend's party in New Subhash Nagar where over 20 people were present.


In the party, Rohit requested the DJ to change a song track, but the latter refused to do so and started abusing him. Soon, a scuffle broke out and some drunk people present there attacked Rohit and his friend Rahul with hockey sticks, the report quoted police as saying.


While Rahul escaped the lethal attack, Rohit succumb to his injuries.


Rohit's father, who had by then reached the spot, saw some people attacking his son. When he tried to intervene, the attackers attacked him as well.


“We sent a team to the spot after receiving a PCR call at around 12.30am. They took Rohit to Civil hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. We have registered a murder case and forensic teams have visited the spot,” HT quoted Inspector Babulal of the City police station as saying.
