Karnik's name was cleared by the NASSCOM executive which met

His name was already suggested by a selection committee, NASSCOM
sources indicated.
The association would finalise the details about his
joining date and other modalities on Sunday, the sources said.
Mr Karnik takes over the post which fell vacant following the
untimely death of Dewang Mehta in April in Sydney.
