Kolkata: Four fresh cases of swine flu were reported Thursday in West Bengal taking the total number of people infected across state to 467 since January.

The toll remained at 24 as no death due to the disease was reported from anywhere of the state, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, West Bengal, Moloy Dey said.


Apart from the city-resident, two persons from South 24 Parganas and one from North 24 Parganas districts were reported to be infected with H1N1 virus, he said.


Since yesterday, 18 persons were discharged from hospitals across the state after their complete recovery from swine flu, Dey said adding, so far 394 patients have recuperated.


Among the 49 people currently affected by swine flu, 18 were being treated at government hospitals and 31 were at private facilities, Dey said.
