Government imposes final anti-dumping duties on Chinese sports shoes
Government has imposed final anti-dumping duty on all branded and non-branded sports shoes imported from China.
The Finance Ministry vide a notification has said the anti-dumping duty will be equal to the difference between the amount of $ 12.9 per pair on all branded sports shoes and $ 5.044 per pair on all non-branded sports shoes and their landed value of imports.
The Finance Ministry, has imposed the duty on the basis of recommendations made by the directorate general of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) earlier this month. The anti-dumping duty imposed shall be levied with effect from the date of imposition of the provisional anti-dumping duty i.e. Feburary 9, 2001 and shall be payable in Indian currency.
