Earlier in the week, the Parliament saw a heated debate on issues like "the rise of intolerance" and controversial remarks by ministers like VK Singh.


The government is keen to get the GST Bill in the current session. As part of the efforts to build a consensus on the issue, PM Modi had met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh over tea and requested cooperation to clear the key legislation.
